A new coffee shop opened on January 1st at Penn and 50th South. It is Sparrow Cafe. Although I am not a coffee drinker, I stopped in to sample a dessert or two and found this wonderful mural.
I could definitely hang out here just to enjoy the artwork. And the double chocolate cookie was delicious!

Oh, how pretty.....what store used to be where the Sparrow Cafe is now? Is it by the Paperback Exchange, or near NuLook or....(I am testing my ancient knowledge of that area - haven't been by there in so long!) Is there still a Bruegger's there? Love from your cousin.
Hi, LL - The cafe is at the corner next to the Paperback Exchange and "kitty-corner" from NuLook. It has been several other coffee shops, so I hope this one stays, but you know I don't drink coffee, so I can't help them out much.
